The Linear Type Appraisal program drives herd and breed improvement by evaluating the traits directly related to a Jersey cow’s function and longevity. You get objective insights into the type profile of individual cows and the entire herd, then can apply that to setting breeding goals and achieving them.
Appraisal Application Deadlines & Late Fees
Areas will be appraised in the order listed. Applications must be received in the AJCA office at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the schedule. For example if your state is scheduled for September appraisal, the application must be in the office by August 1. Late applications may be scheduled only if deemed feasible, considering time, cost, and approval of the Executive Secretary. A $100 fee will be charged for changes/late additions to an appraisal schedule after distribution.
